Sometimes, the best news is no news: Usibelli Coal Mine celebrated 1,000 days without a lost time accident, an incredible achievement which highlights the company’s dedication to excellence in safety. The milestone can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the workforce on site, as well as the mine’s pursuit of safety excellence through training programs, safety protocols and regular safety assessments.
“We are proud to celebrate 1,000 days without a lost time accident,” said Joe Usibelli Jr., president of Usibelli Coal Mine. “This achievement reflects our commitment to safety as a core value and the foundation of our company culture. Every team member is accountable for their safety and the safety of their fellow coal miners.” Usibelli’s mine employees hope to achieve a new all-time safety record this December.
